In order to minimise disruption to both the audience and the action of the play, latecomers will be required to take seats at the rear of the auditorium rather than their booked seats. Re-admittance will be permitted but only at suitable points and to seats at the rear of the auditorium.

Halvard Solness has arrived at the pinnacle of his career. He has just been awarded the prestigious Master Builder award, his beautiful wife still loves him, his beautiful secretary still flirts with him and Prince Charles is coming to open his new building tomorrow. Then a knock at the door propels Solness’ past into everyone’s future. The only way is down.
(the fall of) The Master Builder is a thrilling, contemporary new version of Ibsen’s classic, written by celebrated British playwright Zinnie Harris.

Live demo session in the theatre
Director James Brining and members of the cast and crew will discuss the creative decisions involved in adapting the Ibsen classic The Master Builder to the modern world, with live demonstrations and explorations of key moments from the production.
A Signed performance is the usual full production with the addition of a British Sign Language Interpreter who stands on the stage interpreting the show for Deaf attendees.Audio Described
Audio Described performances are designed to improve the experience of visually impaired and blind attendees. As well as listening to the dialogue on stage the customer can wear a headset and listen to a live description of the action on stage.Relaxed Performance
A relaxed performance is a specially selected show from our programme, with slight adaptations to make it suitable for an audience of young people or adults with learning disabilities. This may include extra lighting, additional wheelchair spaces and the freedom to move to alternative seating if required.Dementia-Friendly Performance
A relaxed performance with adaptations to technical aspects of the show, flexible seating options and a relaxed attitude to audience responses and movement in the auditorium. In our front of house space we will have a quiet room, clearer visual markers and signage, and additional staff and volunteers trained to sensitively and respectfully welcome people living with dementia and their supporters to this show.
