West Yorkshire Playhouse faces pressure on every aspect of its funding. As a registered charity we strive to ensure that our education work comes at little or no cost to those who most value it; that we continue to produce world-class ambitious performances for our audiences; and that we nurture the next generation of theatre makers and artists.
As a leading regional theatre, we must be a major force for creating the artists, writers, actors and directors of the future, focusing our efforts on developing local talent. We want to extend our community programme – working with schools and with those with special needs; broaden our Youth Theatre; to continue our award winning Heydays programme for the over 55s and our important work for people living with dementia.
By making a regular donation to the Playhouse you will become a Playhouse Patron; part of a family of supporters who are helping us to shape its future. As a Patron you can experience the many different aspects of the Playhouse with performers, directors and fellow supporters.
To join Playhouse Patrons, or for further information contact Dara Romaniw.
The most effective way of making a donation is to set up a regular gift via direct debit (link here to WYPpatrons) but if you are unable to do so or would like your donation to fund something specific you can make a one-off donation to the Playhouse when buying a ticket or by contacting the Development Team on 0113 213 7256.
As we enter our redevelopment year we are temporarily suspending our MyPlayhouse ticket discount scheme. There will still be great offers to be had for our Pop Up Theatre Season and we will be in touch with bookers about this in due course – details will also be on the web pages when the season is announced.
In late autumn we will be launching a new scheme which will give you all the hot news on the reopening of The Quarry, The Courtyard and the new Bramall Rock Void as well as priority booking and great discounts.
