  • Trustee of the Board

    West Yorkshire Playhouse is seeking a Trustee of the Board.

    Trustees of the Board are charged with ensuring the Playhouse operates in accordance with company and charity law and is prudently financially managed. Trustees provide direction and support to the Executive team on business strategy, company policy and artistic aims as well as monitoring the efficient running of the theatre.

    We are currently particularly seeking a trustee who can offer expert support and guidance to the Executive on strategy and operations within Marketing & Communications.

    With a new vision unfolding and planning for a capital redevelopment underway, this is an exciting time to join the Playhouse and be able to make a significant impact on shaping and developing the future at one of Britain’s leading theatres.

  • Stage One Regional Apprenticeship

    Stage One, the charity dedicated to supporting the next generation of Theatre Producers, are recruiting for their Regional Apprenticeship Scheme.

    West Yorkshire Playhouse, Theatr Clwyd & The Lyric Theatre Belfast will each host an outstanding apprentice producer for 12 months. Working alongside the senior management teams in each organisation, the producer will be exposed to all elements of producing in a subsidised venue whilst developing the commercial aspirations of the organisation through co-productions, touring and/or transfers.

  • Agent for Change

    West Yorkshire Playhouse and Sheffield Theatres are seeking an Agent for Change to work on the Ramps on the Moon project.

    Ramps on the Moon brings together a collaborative network of six regional producing theatres. These theatres are committed to offering opportunities to D/deaf and disabled people by putting D/deaf and disabled artists and audiences at the centre of their programmes to embed accessibility and inclusivity into mainstream theatre.

    The Agent for Change will work with West Yorkshire Playhouse and Sheffield Theatres (the host venues) to support organisational and sector change.
