The Giant and The Bear is part of imove, a Cultural Olympiad programme in Yorkshire.  imove is primarily funded by Legacy Trust UK, creating a lasting impact from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games by funding ideas and local talent to inspire creativity across the UK. Presented at West Yorkshire Playhouse as part of Ludus Festival Leeds.

Roll up! Roll up! The Giant's Circus™ is landing on Quarry Hill for One Week Only and you're invited to come and play!

Meet at the Playhouse for games and adventures before a heart-popping finale in the Giant's Big Top™.  Cheer the death defying stunts of the Flying Ballerina! Gasp at the freakish contortions of Hanging Hoop Girl! Laugh at the Rollerskating Bear!

A mega fun filled trip out for family members of all ages, experience and levels of daring.

    We brought the whole family along to the Giant and Bear play test last Saturday (28th April). We had such a fun time running around after the bears (my favourite had to be Spidey-Bear climbing across the ceiling!) My girls especially loved winning the game - we found 14 bears along with another family - as we then got to play the musical instruments and lead everyone up to see the performance! Watching the circus performers was fantastic - they were so skilled and very entertaining performers. And getting to see the company practise like that felt very special. Everyone has been doing cartwheels at home since and we're excited to come to a workshop and see the show when the tent is up. We look forward to more games in the summer! Ashley (Sharn 8, Leah 11)
