Enter the world of Les Dangereux Cabaret, the most daring alternative cabaret night that Leeds has to offer and where none of the usual rules apply. For one special night only the Playhouse is transformed into a Cabaret den, filled with sensational fire breathing mistresses, hula hooping mayhem, and jaw dropping amazement.
Prepare yourselves for:
Bourgeois and Maurice
Darker and slicker than a BP oil spill, award-winning cabaret
stars Bourgeois and Maurice are a musical duo with style as sharp
as their wit.
Part cabaret, part theatre, part catwalk freak show Bourgeois and
Maurice merge bitingly witty original songs with slanderous gossip
and a truly staggering collection of outfits. With irreverently
witty and glorious offensive lyrics, B&M's music explores the
mundane absurdity of modern life & wraps it up neatly in a
catchy pop hook.
"Bourgeois and Maurice are absolute filth. I love them!" Beth
Ditto, The Gossip
Dickie Beau
London-based performer and intrepid drag fabulist, Dickie Beau, is
a postmodern cultural pickpocket, maverick theatre-maker, actor and
twisted video star, looting a range of traditions, from low culture
to high art, in the creation of distinctive performance
experiences.
"Sublime, funny, moving, tragic and darkly poignant. Dickie Beau
breathes electrifying new life into an age-old art form. Modern,
retro and utterly relevant to the ailments of today, he's a star of
the future."
