We aim to be accessible to everyone and understand your visit to us is so much more than watching a show

Family Friendly Area
 We welcome children at the Playhouse. We have a play area that has books and toys so that you can keep your children occupied before going into a show. The play area is located just behind our Cafe area.

Baby Changing Facilites
 There are baby changing facilities at the Playhouse which are located in the ladies toilets on the first right when you first come through the Playhouse doors.

Disabled Toilets
We have fully accessible Disabled Toilets and a Changing Places toilet, with more space to meet the needs of severely disabled people, including those with profound and multiple learning disabilities, as well as other serious impairments. A Changing Places toilet has sufficient space to easily accommodate two carers, and is fitted with specialist equipment including a hoist, a height adjustable changing bench suitable for adults and children, and a shower. 

For security reasons our disabled toilets are radar locked but you can use your radar key to access them. If you do not have a radar key please ask for a key at Reception.

At the Playhouse

Since opening in March 1990, West Yorkshire Playhouse has established a reputation both nationally and internationally as one of Britain's most exciting producing theatres, winning awards for everything from its productions to its customer service.

Our Cafe and Bar is the perfect place to start your visit to the theatre.  You can also book a pre-show meal.  It's the perfect way to relax before the performance, without worrying you're going to miss the start of the show.
