The sell out Courtyard Comedy Club is back, January’s line up features;
Hal Cruttenden
Hal’s big breakthrough in stand up came with his nomination for the Perrier Newcomer Award at the 2002 Edinburgh Festival. A regular on the comedy circuit, including a year supporting Rob Brydon on his sell out tour, Hal is also a familiar face on our screens, with television appearances ranging from The 11 O’Clock Show to his critically acclaimed performance at The Royal Variety Show. As a writer his credits include numerous sketches on The Omid Djalili Show.
“He takes the personal, the surreal, the ridiculous and the political, and whizzes them into a delicious comedy smoothie that is sweet with a hint of sharpness. And it's really good for you.” The Scotsman
“A delightful surprise… warm-hearted, quick-witted observations about being a camp, middle class heterosexual.” The Daily Telegraph
And Rich Wilson
Former barman Rich Wilson has loved comedy ever since his older next door neighbour gave him a cassette of Eddie Murphy. Now with his sharp observational humour, and ability to tame even the toughest of crowds with his charming manner, Rich is a frequent performer at all the major comedy clubs up and down the country from Jongleurs to The Comedy Cafe.
“Highly entertaining" Time Out.
"He's a very very funny man" Frank Skinner.
All this under the watchful eye of resident compere SILKY and featuring the best of emerging local talent.
