Press Office Internship Opportunity

West Yorkshire Playhouse is looking for an enthusiastic, hard working intern to join our busy press office. If you have an interest in media and communications this is an excellent opportunity to see how a press office for one of the UK’s biggest regional theatres works on a day to day basis.

You will support the team by maintaining our cuttings service, filing systems, and performing other admin tasks such as the creation of press packs for actors. There is also an opportunity for the right person to take on some work on our show campaigns, such as writing press releases, managing photo calls, taking actors to interviews, attending first rehearsals of new plays and press nights.  In return, we will provide two complimentary tickets for each of our own shows, (lots of good banter and cups of tea).

It is essential that you are able to commit to working Fridays, 10am – 5pm, from late March until the end of the summer term, with the potential for the position to continue thereafter.
