The Playhouse is the ideal location for both small meetings and large events. Staffed by theatre professionals with the technical skills and experience to bring your event to life, the creative environment allows you to add an extra dimension to meetings or events with distinctive extras such as a backstage tour.

Theatre Hire

If you are looking for a large venue in Leeds, then look no further. Our two auditoria are available to hire and have state of the art sound and lighting facilities and projection equipment. Impress your delegates with theatrical lighting and sound provided by our professional technical staff who are available to help with every detail.

Quarry

Our largest theatre space has been showcasing the very best in theatre for over 18 years. Designed to maximise the performance of the many renowned actors who have appeared at the Playhouse, the ample stage gives you the perfect platform to inspire your audience.

Fitted with technology of the highest standard this sizable single tier amphitheatre seats up to 750.

Courtyard

A contemporary and intimate setting with seating for 350 people, the Courtyard Theatre is a rectangular space consisting of single tier ranked seating. The perfect presentation space for a smaller audience, the auditorium gives you all the benefits of being on a professional stage in a more personal environment.

Conferencing

From the moment you make your initial enquiry to the end of your event, our experienced, dedicated events team will assist you with every detail. The Playhouse can offer a variety of unique possibilities for small or large conference, with spacious and newly refurbished cafe and bar area available as a breakout space.

Whatever your event, it can be supported with catering facilities and a full range of technical equipment. Our conference rooms are fully accessible for people with mobility difficulties and there is unlimited free WIFI access.

Congreve Room

Situated on the top floor of the Playhouse this light and spacious room overlooks the restaurant and bar area. The Congreve Room is perfect for a variety of functions including corporate hospitality evenings, private dinners, meetings and team building. The room has plenty of natural daylight and also has a projection screen and black out facilities.

Priestley room

Situated adjacent to the main entrance foyer and within easy reach of the bar and restaurant, the Priestley Room is a quiet, versatile space that can be set up and used in many different ways. The room is ideal for audio visual equipment and can also be a great location for entertaining clients during the interval of a show.

Overlooking the restaurant and bar area and with plenty of natural daylight, our Meeting Room is ideal for smaller board meetings or as a syndicate room.

We can cater for all occasions large or small with a range of affordable and delicious menus. Our newly refurbished cafe and bar also provides excellent food before the show with locally sourced produce wherever possible.
