Well the good news is I've overwhelming positive feedback on ideas for new writing season, in particular the notion of getting away from the division between 'new writing' and 'new work'. It seems from all my discussions, and feedback here, that just isn't how writers and artists see themselves and their work. But it is how they are forced to 'market' themselves. If you have feelings about this, especially if you disagree, please let me know by commenting below.
Hoping to see some of you at the meeting tomorrow Saturday 28 January 2-4pm at the Playhouse. If you can't make it join in on Titter - we'll be live tweeting the event #makingplays
And now for the bad news. As I mentioned before, my office was moved over Christmas. The scripts that were read ended up in a big heap on the floor and now are in 4 large cardboard boxes. This is going to take me quite a bit of time to sort out as I have to go through each one matching play to letter to database to report. It is going to be at least another month to sort out. I apologise for this mess and will try to get it back in order as soon as I can. If you have sent in a script and are waiting for a reply, I am very sorry, I can only beg your patience for a bit longer.
