This Week 10.10.11

This week is Furnace week, and it's all go both from Quarry Hill and over in Holbeck.

Slung Low have been working from the HUB for the last couple of weeks making 'Original Bearings'. For-sale signs have been popping up throughout the area with stories and myths on. Bold, white signs which now there are 40 of them make quite an impression in Holbeck. More signs and stories will appear in the next few days.

Also, an extraordinary day today with Unlimited Theatre and Layla Rosa from Shunt, who have arrived and started work on The Giant and the Bear. Today, the Courtyard Theatre at the Playhouse has quite literally become a playground of ropes, trapezes and an exciting looking counter weighting system.

Looking forward very much to working with them this week as they test out some of the aerialist work and ideas of the piece.  Will have visits from cheerleaders, bears, and quite possibly a giant…
